It's True! 2016 WAS A Bad Year For Celebrity Deaths

January 3, 2017
From David Bowie on January 10th all the way through to Carrie Fisher and her mother at the end of December, it felt like too many of our heroes were leaving us. But was it really a bad year for famous deaths?

The folks at Gizmodo crunched some numbers and statistically, 2016 wasn't a great year to be famous. According to the stats based on Wikipedia's death pages, 2016 had the highest celebrity death rate. The numbers suggest that not only did we lose the most celebrities of recent years, but many those who died were significantly more famous than the people who have died in previous years.

So go ahead and share this on your social media networks and say, "I knew it!!!"
