‘Price Is Right’ Announcer George Gray ‘in Good Spirits’ After 3 Heart Attacks

April 25, 2020

George Gray, who has been the longtime announcer on "The Price Is Right," is currently recovering in the hospital after suffering three massive heart attacks.

The Wrap reported that his publicist said that the announcer was in "good spirits."

“George is recovering in the hospital and is in good spirits. His wife Brittney is by his ‘side,’ considering the Covid-19 protocols are in effect,” Gray’s representative, Phil Viardo, said. “He is looking to make a full recovery and return to the Price Is Right when they come back from the pandemic hiatus.”

The 53-year-old was initially rushed to the hospital last Monday after suffering chest pains, according to TMZ.

Gray then suffered a massive heart attack in the ambulance. He went into surgery and doctors tried unsuccessfully to put a stent in his arteries on two occasions, reported the outlet.

He later suffered a second heart attack and was rushed back into surgery. While attempting to put a third stent in his arteries, Gray reportedly suffered a third heart attack. Doctors then performed a quadruple bypass. He was put in the ICU and was listed in critical condition.

A rep for Gray said he is “currently in stable condition and is talking,” reported TMZ.

Gray has been the announcer on the iconic game show since 2011.
